Dreams
Dreams (published under the name “Dreams” in Russia, and Dreams Universe in Asia) is a sandbox game developed by Media Molecule and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment for the PlayStation 4, released on February 14, 2020, and a public beta version of the game was released in 2018 year.
The game is focused on the theme of “play, create and share” and allows players to create custom content. In April 2019, Media Molecule launched Creator Early Access.
Game process
In Dreams, players control an imp, which is used to interact with the game world (for example, with the mouse cursor), create new items and characters, and manipulate objects by grabbing and dragging them. Players can move the imp using a DualShock 4 controller or PlayStation Move. Imp is modifiable, and players can change emotions by drawing on the controller’s touchpad. The imp has the ability to control characters directly in their dreams, allowing the player to take control of them.
The dream levels are separated by different segments known as “dreams,” and these dreams are linked by various gates such as doors. Players are faced with various puzzles in the game, which must be solved using the abilities of the imp and the characters possessed by it, as well as the items received by the players in their dreams. Items collected by players can be used to change the state of the game world.
Players can create their own levels using basic and custom objects in the game. Also, players can share their levels on the Internet. The game has multiplayer, allowing you to jointly create and manage worlds.
